Hi Again...

So...I haven't popped my head back in for a while now, it's been over-due. I've watched the summer fly by and I keep trying to tell myself  to get back to my little blog. I've never been big into personal stories on here but I have been suffering recently from a condition and trying to do as much research as I can on the subject to help others who may or may not know that they suffer from the same condition as well.

If you remember a few blogs back I said that I was going to stop taking my birth control pills after taking them for 10 years now, well....it seems that I have been suffering from a side effect of those pills the whole time and  I never truly knew the full reasons behind it all. I chalked it up to my body changing through time as well as other factors. For about 5 years now I have suffered with constant Tinea Versicolor (fungus growing on your skin causing slightly red patch's), if you want to read up on it, check out this link : http://www.medicinenet.com/tinea_versicolor/article.htm

I've been to three different doctors and not a single one has mentioned to me that my diet and medication maybe the issue. It makes me so furious that doctors treat the symptoms and not the actual cause of those symptoms. I'm so happy that through research and of coarse persistence I will be able to cure myself.
The doctors would give me a cream for my skin but eventually the cream didn't work, they told me that because I go to the gym alot the sweat builds on my skin and causes those rashes.

Well...........the issue is not on the outside like they were telling me for years, it's actually on the inside. I have been suffering from a Candida Overgrowth. It didn't all make sense to me until I stopped taking the birth control and suffered from a very intense yeast infection. Not fun!!!!
So, now that I've got that figured out, what to do about it???

My next few posts will address this issue, first I'll tell you alil more about this condition, how change's in your diet can help and what I've been making and working on in my kitchen to help my lil overgrowth......
